YOUR SCHENGEN VISA

The Schengen countries are: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. In Beirut, Estonia and Iceland are being represented by the French Consulate-General, Finland and Lithuania by the Austrian Embassy, Luxembourg by the Belgian Embassy, Sweden and Malta by the Italian Embassy, Portugal by the Spanish Embassy, Latvia and Slovenia by the Hungarian Embassy, and Denmark by the Norwegian Embassy.

 
Main destination

In accordance with the Visa Code (art5) the member state competent to receive and examine a visa application is: 

a) The Member State that constitutes the only destination during the applicant’s stay in the Schengen countries. 

b) If the trip includes several destinations within the Schengen States, the Member State competent is the country where the applicant will have his main stay, either in length of stay or purpose of stay. 

c) If the main stay cannot be determined, it will be the member state by which external border the applicant will cross in the Schengen States.

 
Application procedure

The issuing of the visa takes a minimum of 15 working days.

A handling fee of 60 Euros will be charged upon submitting the application (payable in L.L only.) and the handling fee is not reimbursable. A service fee will be charged by VFS Global as well. Please visit www.vfsglobal.com/belgium/lebanon 

 
Travel insurance

The travel insurance should be valid for all Schengen countries for the complete period of the journey. However, in case of a multiple entries visa, evidence of travel medical insurance has to be submitted for the first journey only. But, upon each trip, you have to ensure carrying proof of travel medical insurance.

Kindly present yourself in person for a visa application.

The presentation of a “complete” application does not guarantee automatically the issuance of a visa.

Please note that to hold a valid Schengen visa does not give you an irrevocable right to enter or travel temporarily in the Schengen States. Every applicant should be able to present enough proof, if asked, on arrival at the border of the Schengen States.
